Good morning and praise the Lord for another day and another step on the path to Him. What a beautiful fall day we have and the work we have in front of us is awesome. Just remember that no matter what the weather is like, the Son always shines. That’s REAL TALK!
TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, we come before you on this day giving thanks for who you are in our lives. The grace you show us as your children is awesome. We ask that you keep our focus on Jesus, for we know that with Him for us, no physical harm can come upon us. For those that need a recharge of the Holy Ghost, please give them a extra portion today. We ask these things in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Let’s eat.
THREEFOLD REJOICING
In Salvation
Psalms 9:13
LORD, have mercy on me. See how my enemies torment me. Snatch me back from the jaws of death. Save me so I can praise you publicly at Jerusalem’s gates, so I can rejoice that you have rescued me. The nations have fallen into the pit they dug for others. Their own feet have been caught in the trap they set. The LORD is known for his justice. The wicked are trapped by their own deeds.
Received by Grace; alone In Christ Jesus
Philippians 3:1-4
Whatever happens, my dear brothers and sisters, rejoice in the Lord. I never get tired of telling you these things, and I do it to safeguard your faith. Watch out for those dogs, those people who do evil, those mutilators who say you must be circumcised to be saved. For we who worship by the Spirit of God are the ones who are truly circumcised. We rely on what Christ Jesus has done for us. We put no confidence in human effort, though I could have confidence in my own effort if anyone could. Indeed, if others have reason for confidence in their own efforts, I have even more!
As Accepted in Him in the Lord
Philippians 4:4
Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
Philippians 4:10
But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.
QUOTE OF THE DAY
One day as he was walking by the sea, he saw a small boy who, with the help of a shell, was emptying water from the ocean into a hole he had dug in the sand. “What are you doing, son?” asked Augustine. He was impressed by the naive answer, “I’m going to empty all the sea into this hole.” Augustine smiled. An inner voice, however, was saying to him, “You are trying to do the same thing by thinking you can understand the depths of God with your limited mind.”
