TRUE HUMILITY 09-23-24

Praise the Lord for this day and the chance for growth in the spirit. I’m going to ask a question that can only be answered by you and God; how’s your love walk? The scripture today will give you a good example of how it should be so get ready for your blessing.

Today’s Prayer

Father, I come before you on behalf of my brothers and sisters in Christ everywhere. It is so true that some of us “will never really know that You are all we need, until You are all we have,” will we? Remind us that You are indeed faithful; even in our darkest hour, or in our loneliest moments, we can count on You to sustain us. Help us to know this in our spirits, and in our hearts. How sincerely I believe this will depend on how closely we have walked with You, won’t it? Help us to resolve to spend some quality time with You each day. In the matchless name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

Let’s eat.

Christ Humility and Exaltation

(The ultimate Love walk)

Philippians 2:5-11

5 Your attitude should be the same that Christ Jesus had.

6 Though he was God, he did not demand and cling to his rights as God.

7 He made himself nothing; he took the humble position of a slave and appeared in human form.

8 And in human form he obediently humbled himself even further by dying a criminal’s death on a cross.

9 Because of this, God raised him up to the heights of heaven and gave him a name that is above every other name,

10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

11 and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Quote of the Day

We are so utterly ordinary, so commonplace, while we profess to know a Power the Twentieth Century does not reckon with. But we are “harmless,” and therefore unharmed. We are spiritual pacifists, non-militants, conscientious objectors in this battle-to-the-death with principalities and powers in high places. Meekness must be had for contact with men, but brass, outspoken boldness is required to take part in the comradeship of the Cross. We are “sideliners” — coaching and criticizing the real wrestlers while content to sit by and leave the enemies of God unchallenged. The world cannot hate us, we are too much like its own. Oh that God would make us dangerous! ~Jim Elliot~
