THE FAITH OF ABRAHAM 11-27-24

Good day and rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice. Just being able to read this message is a supreme blessing. You better give Him some praise right now. Today’s meal is short and sweet. It deals with faith and stands as an example of what faith is about. Let it bless you.

Today’s Prayer

Father, help us see the “now ness” of our Christian faith. The past is past, and put aside; the future is in Your hands, Lord, but the “now” is up to us. This is where we either reflect You or not, in how we live today. Fill us with Your Spirit; enable us to be more than we are, that we may seize this precious time that will not come again, and live today to Your glory. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Let’s eat.

The Faith of Abraham

Romans 4:20-25

20 Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God.

21 He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises.

22 And because of Abraham’s faith, God counted him as righteous.

23 And when God counted him as righteous, it wasn’t just for Abraham’s benefit. It was recorded

24 for our benefit, too, assuring us that God will also count us as righteous if we believe in him, the one who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.

25 He was handed over to die because of our sins, and he was raised to life to make us right with God.

Quote of the Day

I remember once hearing Whipple, of Minnesota, so well known as “The Apostle of the Indians,” utter these beautiful words: “For thirty years I have tried to see the face of Christ in those with whom I differed.” When this spirit actuates us we shall be preserved at once from a narrow bigotry and an easy-going tolerance, from passionate vindictiveness and everything that would mar or injure our testimony for Him who came not to destroy men’s lives, but to save them. ~William Henry Griffith Thomas~
