DIVINE PREPARATION 12-01-24

Praise the lord for the ability to move your limbs and breathe in air, for He is the one that makes these things possible! I’m going to share 3 scriptural points on spiritual preparation. Let them bless you.

Today’s Prayer

(make this personal)

Father, To live is Christ, to die is gain” (Philippians 1:21). I want to live unto Christ. May the days of my life on this earth be pleasing to You. I pray that I will “die to self” and grow and become more like Christ as I journey toward that day when I will be with You in eternity. Please use me to bless others; to give love, encouragement, help, and guidance where needed; to meet material needs of the needy; and to point people to You. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You for all that You have done for me, for all that You are doing in my life right now, and for all You will do in whatever days are to come. In Jesus’ precious name I pray, Amen.

Let’s eat.

Divine Preparation

Cleansing for Worship

Hebrews 10:22

let us go right in, to God himself, with true hearts fully trusting him to receive us, because we have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and because our bodies have been washed with pure water.

Polishing for Service

Isaiah 49:2

GOD will make my words of judgment sharp as swords. He has hidden me in the shadow of his hand; I am like a sharp arrow in his quiver.

2 Timothy 2:21

If you stay away from sin you will be like one of these dishes made of purest gold–the very best in the house–so that Christ himself can use you for his highest purposes.

Pruning for Fruit-bearing

John 15:2

He lops off every branch that doesn’t produce. And he prunes those branches that bear fruit for even larger crops.

Hebrews 12:11

Being punished isn’t enjoyable while it is happening–it hurts! But afterwards we can see the result, a quiet growth in grace and character.

Quote of the Day

You must encounter God firsthand; or you will become passive, apathetic, or just drop out all together. You must continually encounter God firsthand or your fellowship with God will grow cold. You will quit caring about the concerns of God for His church, for the Kingdom, or for the lost world. ~Henry Blackaby~
