Good morning everyone. This is the day the lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. The words “listen and hear” dropped into my spirit this morning so we will do just that. Let the scripture bless your spirit.
Today’s Prayer
Father, on behalf of my brothers and sisters in Christ I ask that You help us learn to really listen, to You, to our families, to those around us and to be sensitive to the “unspoken,” for often it is in the “unspoken” that the needs of others are revealed. You are not only heard in a clap of thunder, or in the cry of a newborn baby, but also in the silence of a sunrise and the quiet desperation of an anguished heart. Help us to listen, that we may bring Your love and comfort to others. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit that we may develop a “listening heart.” In Jesus’ name i pray, Amen.
Let’s eat.
Lord We Need Your Help
New Living Translation
Psalm 130
From the depths of despair, O LORD, I call for your help. Hear my cry, O Lord. Pay attention to my prayer. LORD, if you kept a record of our sins, who, O Lord, could ever survive? But you offer forgiveness that we might learn to fear you. I am counting on the LORD; yes, I am counting on him. I have put my hope in his word. I long for the Lord more than sentries long for the dawn, yes, more than sentries long for the dawn. O Israel, hope in the LORD; for with the LORD there is unfailing love. His redemption overflows. He himself will redeem Israel from every kind of sin.
Quote of the Day
He commonly brings His help in our greatest extremity, and that His finger may plainly appear in our deliverance. And this method He chooses that we may not trust upon anything that we see or feel, as we are always apt to do, but only His bare Word, which we may depend upon in every state.
