Good morning everyone. Oh give thanks unto the Lord for He is good, yes He is good. He is worthy to be praised so you better give Him some praise right now. Get excited about the fact that He died to take away our sin so we wouldn’t have to die for our sins. You better get this thing today.
Today’s Prayer
Father, please remind us that You never meant that Christian love and mercy should be roommates with sin. Rather You taught that if we would confess our sin to You and truly repent, that You would forgive us; but You didn’t say that You would mercifully look the other way and allow us to continue in our sin. Lord, help us understand Your Word as You revealed it to Your committed apostles, for Your truths and Your plan for the family are timeless. Remind us that You created our human sexuality to be a precious blessing. Help us to love You and trust You enough to live by Your rules. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
Let’s eat.
Jesus’ Prayer of Thanksgiving
New Living Translation
Matthew 11:25-30
At that time Jesus prayed this prayer: “O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding these things from those who think themselves wise and clever, and for revealing them to the childlike. Yes, Father, it pleased you to do it this way! “My Father has entrusted everything to me. No one truly knows the Son except the Father, and no one truly knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.” Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”
Quote of the Day
Great grief prays with great earnestness. Prayer is not a collection of balanced phrases; it is the pouring out of the soul. What is love if it be not fiery? What are prayers if the heart be not ablaze? They are the battles of the soul. In them men wrestle with principalities and powers…The prayer that prevails is not the work of lips and fingertips. It is the cry of a broken heart and the travail of a stricken soul.
