Oh give thanks unto the Lord for He is good, yes He is Good and worthy of our praise. I’m so blessed this morning by the words of a friend. He sent me words of encouragement a couple days ago that let me know that the work that God is doing through me is making a difference. Thank you for helping me carry on Double “D”. Through the wisdom of the word we can do great things. We are going get some of that wisdom from the book of James today.
Today’s Prayer
Dear heavenly Father, I come before you this morning on behalf of my brothers and sisters in Christ, especially the young ones. Today I ask that you pour out a double portion of your love and compassion on them and let them know that you are real in their lives. Put your hedge of protection around them and grow their minds and help them keep their eyes focused on Jesus. It’s in his wonderful name I present this and all things, Amen and Amen.
Let’s eat.
True Wisdom Comes from God
James 3:13-17 –
If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you are bitterly jealous and there is selfish ambition in your heart, don’t cover up the truth with boasting and lying. For jealousy and selfishness are not God’s kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and demonic. For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind. But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.
Quote of the Day
Wisdom is the power to see and the inclination to choose the best and highest goal, together with the surest means of attaining it.
