Change Is Coming 12-31-19

Good day everyone. As we get ready to leave 2019 and move into 2020, we are going into new territory. No one has ever been there before. It’s unknown to us what will happen or if we will be fortunate enough, by God’s grace, to see it. Those who do get to see it will get a fresh start and a chance to make much needed changes. Make a concentrated effort to live and love the way Jesus prescribed. I also suggest that you take what the message has for you and tattoo it on your heart.

Today’s Prayer

Father, as You have instructed through Your Word, we want to above all things have fervent love for others, for ‘love will cover a multitude of sins.’ We want to be hospitable to others without grumbling. As we have received a gift from You, help us to minister it to others, as good stewards of Your manifold grace. When we speak, let us speak Your Word out of love and kindness. When we minister, let us do it as with the ability which You supply, that in all things, You may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and the dominion forever and ever, Amen.

Changes of Raiment

Garments of Salvation

Isaiah 61:10

Let me tell you how happy God has made me! For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and draped about me the robe of righteousness. I am like a bridegroom in his wedding suit or a bride with her jewels.

For saved sinners; Raiment of Righteousness

Colossians 3:12

Since you have been chosen by God who has given you this new kind of life, and because of his deep love and concern for you, you should practice tenderhearted mercy and kindness to others. Don’t worry about making a good impression on them but be ready to suffer quietly and patiently.

For Life; Robes of Immortality

1 Corinthians 15:53

For our earthly bodies, the ones we have now that can die, must be transformed into heavenly bodies that cannot perish but will live forever.

1 Corinthians 15:54

When this happens, then at last this Scripture will come true–“Death is swallowed up in victory.”

Quote of the day

Why do we usurp God’s right to judge? It is for God alone to judge, to justify or to condemn. He knows the state of each one of us and our capacities, our deviations, and our gifts, our constitution, and our preparedness…according to the knowledge that He alone has…And how do you know what tears he has shed about it before God? You may well know about the sin, but you do not know about the repentance.
