Good day everyone. The refrain to one of the songs that I use in my personal praise and worship time goes like this: “where you go I’ll go, what you say I’ll say and what you pray I’ll pray God, what you pray I’ll pray.” These words define what I’m striving for on a daily basis. How about you? Today’s message is to get everyone engaged in Kingdom work.
Today’s Prayer
Father, it seems that sometimes it takes a crisis to unite us as a nation before we turn to You. When will we realize that we each need to include You daily in our lives in order to know that we can count on You in times of need. Help us each to continue to pray for all of the suffering families. Comfort those who have lost loved ones, and those who have been seriously injured. Help them to find consolation in the verse that the President quoted: “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil; for You are with me; …” (Psalm 23:4) … Thank You, Lord, for Your assurance and for Your help in our time of need. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
Let’s eat.
The Need for Workers
Matthew 9:35-38
Jesus traveled through all the towns and villages of that area, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And he healed every kind of disease and illness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.”
The need is the very same right now today. Have you applied for a position?
Quote of the Day
The conflict will always be beyond your strength. The enemy always pushes us beyond our personal, inbred, preset limits concerning how far we will go for God: “Here’s how far I’m going to love; this is how many times I’ll turn the other cheek.” The test kills the limits of our humanity, until we are like Christ in everything. We are left with a choice: Become Christlike or gradually shrivel into superficial hypocrites: angry people who have stopped walking with God, who blame others for our bitterness. ~Francis Frangipane~
