I had something drop into my spirit as I was already writing this message that stopped me in my tracks, so we will move forward with the fresh off the press word. Oh give thanks unto the Lord for He is good, yes He is good.
Today’s Prayer
Father, I Thank you for all the children in the world; every one is precious, a heritage and gift from You. I pray for protection, guidance, good health, loving families, positive role models, and many blessings upon these children. So many are mistreated. Others are covered in love. Some are spoiled, others have nothing–not even bare necessities. Please reach out and touch them all, and meet every need in the way You see best. In the matchless name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
Let’s eat.
ASK FOR HELP FROM THE TEACHER
I want you all to know that this is a message that the Holy Spirit wanted shared today because my original message was pushed aside by the following scripture:
Psalm 119:18 “ Open my eyes to see the wonderful truths in your instructions.”
I have been telling people for years that you are a child of the King, make your plans in pencil and have a huge eraser.
Have you ever thought you could just go to the Bible and pull some truth out of it for your life? Let me tell you friends: you cannot do that. Your mind will never comprehend the things of God apart from the Holy Spirit illuminating you.
First, we must lay our intellectual pride in the dust, and with open arms and a heart of faith, approach God’s Word for wisdom, discernment, and knowledge. Then He will teach us.
Just think about this for a second; It took a supernatural miracle to write the Word of God. It takes a supernatural miracle for us to understand it. When God begins to write His Word upon our hearts, we are going to lead a supernatural life! Ask Him for that!
I’m so glad I had my eraser ready today and I praise God for the spirit of discernment!
Quote of the Day
We want to avoid suffering, death, sin, ashes. But we live in a world crushed and broken and torn, a world God Himself visited to redeem. We receive his poured-out life, and being allowed the high privilege of suffering with Him, may then pour ourselves out for others. ~Elisabeth Elliot~
