(CLICK THE PICTURE) It’s a great day everyone. I want to join all of you as we say Happy Birthday to our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. We as his spiritual family know that he is the reason for the season, but we should be celebrating every day because of what He did for us over 2000 years ago; Merry Christmas.
Today’s Prayer
Hallelujah! Jesus Christ the Savior was born, God incarnate in the flesh as a babe in a lowly manger! Happy birthday Jesus! We pray that today, Your heart will be happy and rejoice over the souls who have accepted Your gift of forgiveness and life eternal. Thank You for interceding for us, for making us righteous through Your blood atonement, for “standing in the gap” and being there for us. Glory to You, oh Lamb of God, the Word that was and is and is to come. We praise You today and remember what You have done. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. We pray that we will be a blessing to You. Please guide and direct our every step, that we will always be about our Father’s business and be pleasing in His sight. In Your precious, holy name we pray, Amen.
Business as Usual
And she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped Him in cloths and placed Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. – Luke 2:7
Imagine if the God of the universe decided to visit planet earth as a new baby and you were given the opportunity to host His first night-in your hotel! Think of the future promotional possibilities; “God stayed here His first night!” You could sell tickets to see the room where He was born. What an opportunity to make history as a small-business owner!
God had need of a business owner’s establishment one night over 2,000 years ago, but there was no room for God in this business that night. There was no room for the unexpected miracle; no awareness of what was taking place in the universe, no sign that God might be reaching out to this entrepreneurial believer to be used like no other in all of history.
Everyday God has a need for some man or woman’s job. He wants to demonstrate miracles in their work. But there is no room in their work for Jesus. He is not asked to participate. That night God slept in a stable. That night a business opportunity from Heaven was missed. It was business as usual for the people that could have helped.
May we all have spiritual eyes and ears to know when our Master needs what He has entrusted to us for His purposes. Will you answer and let Him in or will it be business as usual at your Inn? I’m just asking a very simple question. God knows the answer.
