(CLICK THE PICTURE) Good morning and praise the Lord For another wonderful day to spread the good news and bask in His glory. Here we are on day three of the New Year and growing in the knowledge of the Lord’s promises.
Today’s Prayer
Dear Lord Jesus, let us serve others because we love You. Help us not to wait until we feel an affinity for another before we offer kindness, aid or concern. If we truly love You, we will want to serve others in Your behalf. Help us to reflect Your love, so that others will desire to know You too. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
Jesus Casts Out an Evil Spirit
Mark 1:21-28
21 Jesus and his companions went to the town of Capernaum. When the Sabbath day came, he went into the synagogue and began to teach. 22 The people were amazed at his teaching, for he taught with real authority—quite unlike the teachers of religious law. 23 Suddenly, a man in the synagogue who was possessed by an evil spirit began shouting, 24 “Why are you interfering with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One sent from God!” 25 Jesus cut him short. “Be quiet! Come out of the man,” he ordered. 26 At that, the evil spirit screamed, threw the man into a convulsion, and then came out of him. 27 Amazement gripped the audience, and they began to discuss what had happened. “What sort of new teaching is this?” they asked excitedly. “It has such authority! Even evil spirits obey his orders!” 28 The news about Jesus spread quickly throughout the entire region of Galilee.
As children of God, we are to also cast out demons with the authority given to us by Him. Do you believe that you have that kind of authority? In these end times we are to exercise our authority like never before because the antichrist is taking over. Just look at the state of the world. Today is a wakeup call to the remnant that God has called out and chosen for times such as this. Get busy.
Matthew 21:21
21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
Quote of the Day
I prayed for faith, and thought that some day faith would come down and strike me like lightning. But faith did not seem to come. One day I read in the tenth chapter of Romans, “Now faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God”. I had closed my Bible, and prayed for faith. I now opened my Bible, and began to study, and faith has been growing ever since.
