I sit here today with a smile on my face because I was witness to some amazing blessings that God bestowed on members of the Riverdale IL sub-division we are in partnership with. When the realization of all of the things that the Lord allows us to accomplish for His glory in spite of the how we’re feeling physically is just awesome. Just praise Him today for Who He is.
Today’s Prayer
Father, I come before you this morning on behalf of my brothers and sisters in Christ to say thank you. We thank you for the every day miracles that we so take for granted at times. We thank you for the loving kindness that you show as we go through our trials of life. Most of all we thank you for being God all by yourself. We present this and all things to you in the wonderful name of Jesus, Amen and Amen.
Let’s eat.
Precious Things
Precious Souls
Psalm 49:8-9 –
Redemption does not come so easily, for no one can ever pay enough to live forever and never see the grave.
Subject of Redemption, Precious Blood
1 Peter 1:19-20 –
It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God. God chose him as your ransom long before the world began, but he has now revealed him to you in these last days.
Redemption Price, Precious Christ
1 Peter 2:4-8 –
You are coming to Christ, who is the living cornerstone of God’s temple. He was rejected by people, but he was chosen by God for great honor. And you are living stones that God is building into his spiritual temple. What’s more, you are his holy priests. Through the mediation of Jesus Christ, you offer spiritual sacrifices that please God. As the Scriptures say, “I am placing a cornerstone in Jerusalem, chosen for great honor, and anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” Yes, you who trust him recognize the honor God has given him. But for those who reject him, “The stone that the builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.” And, “He is the stone that makes people stumble, the rock that makes them fall.”
The Great Redeemer, Precious Faith
2 Peter 1:1-2 –
This letter is from Simon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ. I am writing to you who share the same precious faith we have. This faith was given to you because of the justice and fairness of Jesus Christ, our God and Savior. May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord.
Appropriating Hand, Precious Promises
2 Peter 1:3-4 –
By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.
Quote of the Day
To confess your sins to God is not to tell [God] anything [God] doesn’t already know. Until you confess them, however, they are the abyss between you. When you confess them, they become the bridge.
