Jesus, we want to see you! 02-07-15

_ 102914 Jesus has no equal

Today I want to say thanks to all the prayer warriors connected with me in the spirit for your work. All of the people you have been praying for on my requests are doing well, especially my wife Carol. I love you all and ask God to pour out his favor 100 fold on your lives!

Today’s Prayer

(Continue to make this personal)

Father, “I asked for all things, that I might enjoy life; I was given life, that I might enjoy all things!” Forgive us each, Lord, for too often concentrating on what we don’t have, and taking for granted what we do have! Help me to resolve to start each day counting my blessings: (1) Any day I can get out of bed is a plus, and I thank You, Lord; (2) If I can’t get out of bed, I thank You for a bed in which to rest; (3) I thank You for family and friends; (4) If I have neither family nor friends, I thank you for those who lend me a helping hand; (5) I thank You, Lord, for the beauties of nature around me — sunrises, sunsets, mountains or plains, country or city parks, flowers and bird songs — for beauty is often in the eye of the beholder, and help me to be sensitive to Your gift of creation; (6) Thank You for my daily work, and if I am seeking employment, help me not to be above taking temporary employment while seeking Your guidance. Oh Lord, help me, while waiting, to learn to enjoy the moment, and to praise You even then. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Let’s eat.

Seeing Jesus

We would see Jesus

John 12:20-26

Some Greeks who had come to Jerusalem for the Passover celebration paid a visit to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee. They said, “Sir, we want to meet Jesus.” Philip told Andrew about it, and they went together to ask Jesus. Jesus replied, “Now the time has come for the Son of Man to enter into his glory. I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels—a plentiful harvest of new lives. Those who love their life in this world will lose it. Those who care nothing for their life in this world will keep it for eternity. Anyone who wants to be my disciple must follow me, because my servants must be where I am. And the Father will honor anyone who serves me.

The Awakened One’s Desire; We do see Jesus

Hebrews 2:5-9

And furthermore, it is not angels who will control the future world we are talking about. For in one place the Scriptures say, “What are mere mortals that you should think about them, or a son of man that you should care for him? Yet you made them only a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor. You gave them authority over all things.” Now when it says “all things,” it means nothing is left out. But we have not yet seen all things put under their authority. What we do see is Jesus, who was given a position “a little lower than the angels”; and because he suffered death for us, he is now “crowned with glory and honor.” Yes, by God’s grace, Jesus tasted death for everyone.

Experience of Saved; we shall see Jesus

1 John 3:1-3

See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him. Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is. And all who have this eager expectation will keep themselves pure, just as he is pure.

Quote of the Day

Long-lasting victory can never be separated from a long-lasting stand on the foundation of the cross.
