Good day everyone. This morning I have to let all of you know that I had a spiritual vision check and I needed some correction. I came to realize that I sometimes so focused on helping others I miss some of the blessings that are in front of me. My job is first and foremost to introduce lost souls to our Lord and savior and secondly to remind those whom God has put in my life that are saved and what their primary function is; to spread the good news without any other motive other than seeing another soul saved. Can you hear me? The message today is short and to the point so get ready for it.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, I come before you this morning asking for forgiveness for losing focus and sometimes my prospective on what to do. Like all of your creations, I sometimes succumb to the daily noise that is going on around me, but when the Holy Spirit smacks me upside the head to get my attention I quickly jump back in line. I also ask that you shake up anyone reading this prayer that is going through the same struggles. All we want to do is what You will us to do. So I thank you in advance for your love and patience with us Father and we will be careful to give You all honor and glory in the wonderful name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
Let’s eat.
MINISTERS OF THE NEW COVENANT
2 Corinthians 2:14-17
But thank God! He has made us his captives and continues to lead us along in Christ’s triumphal procession. Now he uses us to spread the knowledge of Christ everywhere, like a sweet perfume. Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God. But this fragrance is perceived differently by those who are being saved and by those who are perishing. To those who are perishing, we are a dreadful smell of death and doom. But to those who are being saved, we are a life-giving perfume. And who is adequate for such a task as this? You see, we are not like the many hucksters who preach for personal profit. We preach the word of God with sincerity and with Christ’s authority, knowing that God is watching us.
QUOTE OF THE DAY
“Whether we like it or not, asking is the rule of the Kingdom. If you may have everything by asking in His Name, and nothing without asking, I beg you to see how absolutely vital prayer is.” ~Charles Haddon Spurgeon~
