(CLICK THE PICTURE) Good morning and praise the Lord for another wonderful day. The weather may be cold and snow covered (in the Midwest) but our job and direction are the same; spreading the gospel. The scripture today is all about saying and giving thanks to God.
Today’s Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, help us realize that You have a purpose for us right where we are, whether happy or depressed, secure or frightened, well or ill, going forward or marking time. There is always something for us to learn, or something we can do for You, Lord. You can use us every day of our lives! Show us how, Lord, show us how. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
Let’s eat.
Oh Give Thanks
Psalm 107:1-8
1 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. 2 Has the Lord redeemed you? Then speak out! Tell others he has redeemed you from your enemies. 3 For he has gathered the exiles from many lands, from east and west, from north and south. 4 Some wandered in the wilderness, lost and homeless. 5 Hungry and thirsty, they nearly died. 6 “Lord, help!” they cried in their trouble, and he rescued them from their distress. 7 He led them straight to safety, to a city where they could live. 8 Let them praise the Lord for his great love and for the wonderful things he has done for them.
Quote of the Day
Enjoy the blessings of this day, if God sends them; and the evils of it bear patiently and sweetly: for this day only is ours, we are dead to yesterday, and we are not yet born to the morrow.
