This message is all about praising God. What a great time we have in front of us. With the world falling apart, our job as children of God becomes even more important.
Today’s Prayer
Father, I come on behalf of my brothers and sisters in Christ everywhere. You have said that if we will wait upon You, that You will renew our strength; we shall mount up with wings as eagles; we shall run and not be weary; we shall walk and not faint. I must confess Lord; it is not always easy to wait. Sometimes we want You to give us patience, right now! Help us to remember the times that You have stood with us in the past. Help us to believe that You will renew our strength, and provide for all our needs, as we wait to find a job, or as we start a new one; as we start a new program, make a new beginning, or prepare to go off to college; as we wait for healing — whatever. You will be there with us. Let us remember that You are trustworthy, and learn to praise You in all things! It’s in the matchless name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
Let’s eat.
Praise The one who counts
Psalm 148
1 Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD from the heavens! Praise him from the skies!
2 Praise him, all his angels! Praise him, all the armies of heaven!
3 Praise him, sun and moon! Praise him, all you twinkling stars!
4 Praise him, skies above! Praise him, vapors high above the clouds!
5 Let every created thing give praise to the LORD, for he issued his command, and they came into being.
6 He established them forever and forever. His orders will never be revoked.
7 Praise the LORD from the earth, you creatures of the ocean depths,
8 fire and hail, snow and storm, wind and weather that obey him,
9 mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars,
10 wild animals and all livestock, reptiles and birds,
11 kings of the earth and all people, rulers and judges of the earth,
12 young men and maidens, old men and children.
13 Let them all praise the name of the LORD. For his name is very great; his glory towers over the earth and heaven!
14 He has made his people strong, honoring his godly ones– the people of Israel who are close to him. Praise the LORD!
Quote of the Day
Legalism wrenches the joy of the Lord from the Christian believer, and with the joy of the Lord goes his power for vital worship and vibrant service. Nothing is left but cramped, somber, dull and listless profession. The truth is betrayed, and the glorious name of the Lord becomes a synonym for a gloomy kill-joy. The Christian under law is a miserable parody of the real thing. ~S. Lewis Johnson~
