PSALM 11 08-16-19

Good day everyone. As I sit here in front of this computer, I think of how blessed I am to have a community of brothers and sisters in Christ to share the things that Holy Ghost is dropping into my spirit. I thank God for all of you daily and I hope that all of you are blessed by this work of God. It seems appropriate to share a Psalm with you today.

Today’s Prayer

Father, help us learn to release our yesterdays, especially when we may have lived by our own desires and not by Your Word. Remind us that You want us to sincerely repent, and to commit ourselves freshly. Teach us, Lord, to leave our tomorrows in Your hands, knowing that You want the best for us. Help us look forward to each new day with open arms!Let us learn to seek Your will early in the morning, and to recognize the blessings and opportunities that await us. Every day You show Your love in so many ways; thank You that we can indeed count on You. Help us recognize our many opportunities for sharing Your love with others, and help us to be the faithful servants that You want us to be. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Let’s eat.

Psalm 11 (A psalm of David)

I trust in the LORD for protection. So why do you say to me, “Fly to the mountains for safety! The wicked are stringing their bows and setting their arrows in the bowstrings. They shoot from the shadows at those who do right. The foundations of law and order have collapsed. What can the righteous do?” But the LORD is in his holy Temple; the LORD still rules from heaven. He watches everything closely, examining everyone on earth. The LORD examines both the righteous and the wicked. He hates everyone who loves violence. He rains down blazing coals on the wicked, punishing them with burning sulfur and scorching winds. For the Lord is righteous, and he loves justice. Those who do what is right will see his face.

Quote of the Day

There are three possible kinds of God: the god of one’s own ego, in which the atheist believes, and which is also the god of modern confusionism; the god of nature, of stone and gold and silver, which belonged to the old religions of idolatry; and the Supreme God, who made both man and nature, and redeemed them both upon the cross. Those who tell us that they deny the existence of God are merely substituting one god for another.
