Good day everyone. Oh give thanks unto the Lord for He is good yes He is good and worthy of our praise. Just remember that it’s not about us; It’s about Jesus who is for us. Let that bless you.
Today’s Prayer
Father, I come before you today on behalf of my brothers and sisters everywhere to praise You. It’s almost spring! Your glory is everywhere! The blooms of bulbs that laid dormant all winter, the songs of returning birds, the caressing warmth of the sun, all of these prove once again that You are trustworthy, that You were there even when everything was cold, dark and silent. You were there, planning greater beauty for us than we had dared to dream. When things are at an impasse, help us to realize that “spring” will return to our lives and that You have more gifts in store for us, greater things for us to do. Help us to trust You while we wait Lord, and while waiting, let us be content to share our joy. In the wonderful name of Jesus we praise You and give thanks, Amen and Amen.
Let’s eat.
What Christ Did, Does, and Will Do
He died – Christ died for our sins
1 Corinthians 15:1-3 –
Let me now remind you, dear brothers and sisters, of the Good News I preached to you before. You welcomed it then, and you still stand firm in it. It is this Good News that saves you if you continue to believe the message I told you—unless, of course, you believed something that was never true in the first place. I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me. Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said.
He Rose – Raised for our justification
Romans 4:25 –
He was handed over to die because of our sins, and he was raised to life to make us right with God.
He Lives – Lives to make intercession
Hebrews 7:23-25 –
There were many priests under the old system, for death prevented them from remaining in office. But because Jesus lives forever, his priesthood lasts forever. Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf.
He Comes – Coming to receive us
John 14:3 –
“Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.
Quote of the Day
Surely what a man does when he is taken off his guard is the best evidence for what sort of man he is. If there are rats in a cellar, you are most likely to see them if you go in very suddenly. But the suddenness does not create the rats; it only prevents them from hiding. In the same way, the suddenness of the provocation does not make me ill-tempered; it only shows me what an ill-tempered man I am.
