Praise the Lord for another day and another chance to increase our relationship with Him. My mind and my study took me to one of the psalms this morning. Let it bless your spirit.
Today’s Prayer
Father, on behalf of my brothers and sisters in Christ everywhere, I come to you to ask that you would remind us that although we are busy with acts of service, You really want us to learn to BE a servant. We can serve You and still be egotistical and proud; but to be a servant, we need to humble ourselves, to put another’s needs first, and to be willing to “wash feet” as Jesus did. Oh Lord, are we big enough people for that, secure enough in our own identity? Help us to be all that You want us to be through the power of the Holy Spirit. In the awesome name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
Let’s eat.
Psalm 95:1-7
1 Come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. 2 Let us come to him with thanksgiving. Let us sing psalms of praise to him. 3 For the Lord is a great God, a great King above all gods. 4 He holds in his hands the depths of the earth and the mightiest mountains. 5 The sea belongs to him, for he made it. His hands formed the dry land, too. 6 Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the Lord our maker, 7 for he is our God. We are the people he watches over, the flock under his care.
Quote of the Day
Relieve and comfort all the persecuted and afflicted; speak peace to troubled consciences; strengthen the weak; confirm the strong; instruct the ignorant; deliver the oppressed from him that spoileth him; and relieve the needy that hath no helper; and bring us all, by the waters of comfort, and in the ways of righteousness, to the kingdom of rest and glory, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen. ~Jeremy Taylor~
