(click the picture) Good morning everyone and praise the Lord for His unfailing love and mercy He shows every second of everyday. I ask that you let the prayer and scripture minister to you today in order be truly filled with the Holy Ghost.
Today’s Prayer
Father, on behalf of my brothers and sisters in Christ, I ask for your forgiveness. Sometimes we have to ask; are You still there? Forgive us for breaking our connection. Forgive us for thinking that we can manage our lives without You. We’ve reread Your Word, where You said through Your Son, Jesus: “Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for My yoke is easy, and My load is light.”* We realize that if we seek to discover Your will for our lives, and to be “yoked” to You, that Your yoke will not chafe if I am truly walking closely with You, and in sync with Your will. We need never walk alone! If we took time to count our blessings — our loving wives, our children — all are helping out and encouraging us. We have our health, but most of all, we are growing closer to You. In the years ahead, we may even see that what we considered to be a catastrophe — losing our employment — may be turned into a blessing as we each grow in our faith. Thank You, Lord, for Your very real presence in our lives. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
Let’s eat.
Threefold Salvation
Present Salvation
Acts 16:30- 31 –
Then he brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.”
Ephesians 2:8 –
God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.
Progressive Salvation
Hebrews 7:25 –
Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save[a] those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf.
Philippians 2:12 –
Dear friends, you always followed my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away, it is even more important. Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear.
Prospective Salvation
Romans 13:11 –
This is all the more urgent, for you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.
Hebrews 9:28 –
so also Christ died once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him.
Quote of the Day
God is none other than the Saviour of our wretchedness. So we can only know God well by knowing our iniquities… Those who have known God without knowing their wretchedness have not glorified him, but have glorified themselves.
