Good day to ya family. Praise the Lord for another day and another chance to spread the gospel of our Lord and savior. I was watching sports center on ESPN last night and they were showing highlights of a fishing tournament. Now to some of you that has no meaning at all but for of us that are walking in the spirit that points to the major portion of our job. Now there somebody saying, Glenn has lost it now. For those people I’m going straight to scripture.
Today’s Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, some can pray short prayers and see results. Remind us that they may have spent hours in Your Word and in quiet meditation, awaiting Your guidance. They are “prayed up.” When a crisis comes they KNOW how to pray in Your will because they KNOW You. Oh Lord, help those that don’t know you in that way to see that they need to spend time in Your Word daily. Help them, lest they give You cause to say, “I never knew you.”
In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
Let’s eat.
Illustration of the Fishing Net
Matthew 13:47-52 –
“Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a fishing net that is thrown into the water and gathers fish of every kind. When the net is full, they drag it up onto the shore, sit down, sort the good fish into crates, and throw the bad ones away. That is the way it will be at the end of the world. The angels will come and separate the wicked people from the godly, throwing the wicked into the fire. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Do you understand?” “Yes,” they said, “we do.” Then he added, “Every teacher of religious law who has become a disciple in the Kingdom of Heaven is like a person who brings out of the storehouse the new teachings as well as the old.”
Quote of the Day
Teach us, O Lord, the disciplines of patience, for to wait is often harder than to work.
