(CLICK THE PICTURE) Good morning everyone. I’m going to start this message with a plain and simple fact. Most of us Christians talk about the second coming and more than half the world hasn’t even heard about the first. Let that hit your spirit for a minute and then get to work.
Today’s Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, some people are able to say short prayers and see immediate results. However, we must recognize that they have spent considerable time in studying Your Word, in prayer and meditation, and in seeking to know Your will. In other words, they are already “prayed up!” When a crisis comes, they know You! They know that they can trust You, and that You are ready to comfort, strengthen, and sustain them in their time of need. They know that You have said, “My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Oh Lord, help everyone to see that they too, need a close relationship with You in their lives. We all need to spend time with You each day, and learn that You are indeed faithful to Your Word and that we can count on You! Help us, Lord, for You too want to be able to count on us to share Your love with others. It’s in the name of Jesus I present this prayer, Amen.
Let’s eat.
Weighed
Actions weighed
1 Samuel 2:3 –
Then Hannah prayed: “My heart rejoices in the Lord! The Lord has made me strong. Now I have an answer for my enemies; I rejoice because you rescued me. No one is holy like the Lord! There is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God. “Stop acting so proud and haughty! Don’t speak with such arrogance! For the Lord is a God who knows what you have done; he will judge your actions.
Man’s Works; Spirits weighed
Proverbs 16:1-6 –
We can make our own plans, but the Lord gives the right answer. People may be pure in their own eyes, but the Lord examines their motives. Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed. The Lord has made everything for his own purposes, even the wicked for a day of disaster. The Lord detests the proud; they will surely be punished. Unfailing love and faithfulness make atonement for sin. By fearing the Lord, people avoid evil.
Man’s Motives; Thou art weighed
Daniel 5:22-28 –
“You are his successor, O Belshazzar, and you knew all this, yet you have not humbled yourself. For you have proudly defied the Lord of heaven and have had these cups from his Temple brought before you. You and your nobles and your wives and concubines have been drinking wine from them while praising gods of silver, gold, bronze, iron, wood, and stone—gods that neither see nor hear nor know anything at all. But you have not honored the God who gives you the breath of life and controls your destiny! So God has sent this hand to write this message. “This is the message that was written: Mene, Mene, Tekel, and Parsin. This is what these words mean: Mene means ‘numbered’—God has numbered the days of your reign and has brought it to an end. Tekel means ‘weighed’—you have been weighed on the balances and have not measured up. Parsin means ‘divided’—your kingdom has been divided and given to the Medes and Persians.”

Thou who hast given so much to me, give me one more thing – a grateful heart!
